Colorado Dragon Film Festival

An Asian / Asian-American Film Festival is dear to the heart of the Aurora Asian/Pacific Community Partnership.  We know how much work goes into a festival and how educational and fun it can be!  Between 1997 and 2007, the Partnership, in cooperation with the Denver Film Society, held the first pan-Asian film festival in the region.  Besides the film, we enjoyed many receptions with delicious Asian cuisine provided by many Aurora restaurants, caterers and members of the pan-Asian communities.  There was nothing quite like it.  Then the recession of 2008 hit, and funding dried up, understandably.

NOW — we get to enjoy pan-Asian film again, thanks to the Colorado Dragon Film Festival and the leadership of Dragon 5280 (parent organization of the wonderful Colorado Dragon Boat Festival held every July).

And its happening NOW, so please plan to attend Opening Night, March 1st (runs through the March 3rd):

THEME: Asian & Asian American Women In Film & The Arts
Showcasing over 10 Asian and Asian American films that will have their Colorado premiere at our festival. We even have 1 US premiere, “Die Tomorrow”.  There will be panels and ‘talkbacks’, too!

Parking: Limited parking in front of theater. Free street parking on Raleigh and Stuart.  Arrive early and park in FREE GARAGE NORTH of Alamo Drafthouse.
