To celebrate Aurora Global Fest THIS Saturday, Aug. 17th, the Aurora History Museum is proud to present sounds and sights from Hawaii including a Hawaiian Steel Guitar concert, Ukulele and Hula lessons and closing the day with a Hula show! The event is 11AM – 6PM and is at no charge and open to the public.

This year AHM invites everyone to a special, one-day exhibition of a collection of Hawaiian-themed artwork by the Colorado-based artist Dawn Marie Gilbert, entitled “Visions of Hawai’i”. Dawn earned her Bachelors Degree in Fine Art in 2011 from Metropolitan State University of Denver. In 2017, she was invited by the prestigious M FIELD GALLERY, located in the picturesque village of Holualoa in the coffee raising area of Kona, to exhibit her Hawaiian-themed artwork, and they have represented her in Hawai’i ever since.

Global Fest is on the Great Lawn at the Aurora Municipal Center, and the Aurora History Museum is on the north side of the Great Lawn, next to the Aurora Municipal Building. Free parking surrounds the building. Please join in on all the activities! Aloha!
